There are a nearly infinite number of sneaky tactics to use in real-time strategy games. For now I will share three in particular from the games "Starcraft" and its sequel "Starcraft II" which are guaranteed to take even the greatest of pro gamers to task.
To begin with, there is the late-game "Plague Drop" which is a Zerg strategy for the original Starcraft. Pick up 2-4 Defilers in one or two Dropper-Lords, and sneak them into your opponent's mineral line in their main or natural base. Drop the Defilers, and immediately plague their buildings and workers. If your opponent is a Terran, their buildings will then begin to burn down, and their units will be susceptible to a follow-up attack with Mutalisks.
Secondly, there is the "Crawler Push" which is also a Zerg strategy, but for the sequel Starcraft II. Tech up to Lair, and then convert one or two Overlords into Dropper-Lords. Fill them with drones, and carry them across the map to your opponent's base. Just out of their line of site, use one Overlord to lay down creep, and then deploy your drones, and use them to build Spine Crawlers. If you bring a Queen or two, you can use them to grow the creep. Otherwise, use your Overlords to inch the creep into your opponent's base while advancing the Spine Crawlers, until it has been destroyed.
Finally, returning to the original Starcraft, there is the "Carrier Recall" late-game strategy for Protoss. First, spread Arbiters across the map in enemy territory, including leaving one or two at home. Then build a Carrier Fleet, and immediately recall them to the first Arbiter's location. Do as much damage as possible, and then when enemy units start to respond, instantly recall the Carriers to the next target, and so on. If your fleet finds itself in trouble, then recall them back home for a while, and then rinse and repeat.
It is my hope that other gamers out there find success with these as well as other high-tier strategies.
